Contributing to "creation of new industries"
and a rich, happy society
Prof. Dr. Yasuhiko Ito (deceased October 17, 2023), Professor Emeritus of Kyoto University, devoted more than half a century of research alongside many fellow researchers to building deep expertise in the fascinating physical properties and characteristics of "molten salt" and the diverse functions it makes possible, uncovering a wide range of potential applications.
In particular, research centered on the Molten Salt Electrochemical Process (MSEP) has earned high recognition both domestically and internationally in fields such as the environment, energy, resources, and nanotechnology.
I’MSEP Co., Ltd. was established under Dr. Ito's strong commitment to developing the technology seeds born from these research achievements into the stage of practical application and commercialization, and to contributing to society through the "creation of new industries."
The company name "I’MSEP" embodies both the "I" of "Innovation" and the pride and resolve of each employee that "I am the pioneer of MSEP."
Since our founding, we have produced many outstanding results, and we feel each day how our recognition and trust at home and abroad continue to grow. This is entirely thanks to the understanding, support, and guidance of so many—including industry, national and local governments, and various public institutions—to all of whom we offer our heartfelt gratitude.
Going forward, we will continue to vigorously promote business activities in MSEP technology and in molten salt technology more broadly, drawing on the advanced technical capabilities and the knowledge and know-how we have cultivated to date.
It is the shared aspiration of all of us at I’MSEP—and the founding spirit we have inherited—that the technology seeds born and nurtured at the university bloom and bear fruit through practical application and commercialization, contributing to the "creation of new industries" and to the realization of a rich and happy society.
We respectfully ask for your continued support and guidance.
President & CEO Koji Kuroda
PHILOSOPHYManagement Philosophy
Since our founding in April 2006, we have engaged in research and development with the Molten Salt Electrochemical Process (MSEP) as our core technology, and have produced many world-leading results in fields such as the environment, energy, resources, and nanotechnology.
Going forward, we are committed to advancing our business as a central player in the unified research and development—across academia, industry, and the local community—of new materials, devices, and systems, as well as in technical guidance and advisory services.
It is the shared wish of all of us at I’MSEP to contribute to the realization of a rich and happy society through the practical application and commercialization of university-originated MSEP technology seeds.
